Megan's Story
Megan Marie Nespliak · 2000–2022
Megan was an Edmonton-area fashion influencer and content creator known for colourful style, candid advice, humour, and an online community she built from the ground up.
She was athletic, a Harry Potter fan, a Swiftie, a dog lover, a traveller, and the founder of Day In Night Out. In June 2022, she graduated from Okanagan College with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing Specialty.
A Dream Deferred
In March 2022, Megan was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. She had planned to attend New York Fashion Week that September. As her health declined, she wasn't able to make the trip — so she created her own.
The Birth of Megan Fashion Week
Megan created 22 fashion themes — one for each year of her life — and invited people everywhere to participate throughout September: dress with intention, try something new, post it, and tag it.

Her age when she passed. It's become the number at the heart of everything this brand carries forward.
$250,000+
Megan's original fundraising goal was $100,000. She reached it within the first week. Her efforts have since raised more than $250,000 for stomach cancer research and support through the Canadian Cancer Society.
